A Walking Tour of Downtown Ringoes with Dave Harding, Author and EAHS member — Hosted by the East Amwell Historical Society

The East Amwell Historical Society invites you to take a guided tour through downtown Ringoes and learn all about its history on Saturday, Oct. 22

The tour will cover more than 200 years of Ringoes history from the arrival of the area’s first settlers to the 1930s. Learn about the town’s rich colonial history and walk in the footsteps of the Sons of Liberty who gathered at Ringo’s Tavern to debate independence, and the Marquis de Lafayette who visited here on multiple occasions during the American Revolution. You’ll also learn about the impact of the railroad on the community and what the village looked like a century ago.

The tour begins at 10 a.m. and tickets cost $10 per person. All proceeds benefit the historical society’s efforts to preserve and share East Amwell’s history. To register, please email Pauline Seramba at pseramba@hotmail.com or call 908-797-9024.

Dave Harding, historical society member and author of a new booklet “Exploring Ringoes: A Self-Guided Tour” will lead the tours. The booklet was released by the East Amwell Historic Preservation Committee.

Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
